I've started to wonder if he suspects that his memories will end his ability to be carefree, but the waiting becomes difficult for me. When I thought he was like my brother, I didn't expect that to also include being emotionally avoidant, cagey, and secretive. If Costin has an alternate universe doppelganger, I am extremely concerned. He's a brat and can't take what he dishes out, but it's pretty endearing.
